Our story
Avondale Sweeps was established in 2010 and we run as a small team of hard-working, highly-qualified professionals. We are HETAS registered chimney sweeps & installers based in Kettering, Northamptonshire and have a small team who cover the office taking bookings and offering advice. As members of the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps, we aim to provide a quality service to the highest standards and take pride in all we do.
We cover many areas including Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, East Warwickshire & Bedfordshire. If you are unsure as to whether we cover your area, please contact us to ask.
We offer a range of Chimney Services including chimney sweeping, full stove and liner installations, maintenance, repairs and mostly anything chimney related. We sweep all forms of multi-fuel and wood-burning stoves, lined or unlined. We can also sweep biomass, oil and gas appliances.

Additional services include CCTV camera surveys, the installation of bird guards and chimney caps as well as dealing with live birds and nest removal. We are experts at problem solving!
We have an accreditation for the Alcumus ‘Safe Contractor’ scheme of which we achieved in 2019 and as members of the Northamptonshire County Council, 'Buy with confidence' scheme. We are also trading standards approved.
We tender national contracts servicing councils, pub/restaurant chains, letting agents, housing associations, country estates, property investors and more. We are able to supply all the RAMS requirements for this as well as a full health and safety policy and all other documentation.

Things can get quite hectic in the life of a chimney sweep (although we are not complaining at all!) and each year we get busier and busier. During the winter months in particular, we would advise arranging ahead of time where possible!
We will always make time for you where we can and try our best to meet your needs.
