Our Services

Details of the services we offer:

Chimney Sweeping & nest removals

Chimney Sweeping includes a full clean, a smoke test and the issue of a fully recognised sweeping certificate. We usually allow up to an hour for a sweep. All the debris is removed using a large vacuum cleaner, ensuring that the process is extremely clean and that nothing is left behind. Sometimes we find that birds have been nesting within the chimney, and we are able to remove the nest if necessary. If the nest is very large, there may be a nest removal fee, however, this often comes out as part of your sweep. We remove live birds as well as bees and wasps nests, where the insects are no longer live.

Installations of flexible chimney liners & stoves

We can offer full installations of flexible chimney liners as well as stoves, and all of our installers are HETAS registered. We would carry out a free-of-charge survey in order to discuss with you the options available and the work that is necessary, based on your desires and expectations. We then follow up our visit with a quotation for the work via email or by post. We are able to offer a wide range of stoves at competitive prices and we can give expert advice on which appliance is most suitable for you. Our most popular brands of stoves include Buddy Stoves, Stovax, Charnwood and many more. We provide practical advice and knowledge assuring that your installation complies to HETAS and building regulations. A HETAS certificate is then issued following installation.

Esse Stoves and Cookers.

ESSE provide some of the best quality stoves and we regularly install their appliances. Jake and Russell have spent time learning all about their Stoves & Cooker Ranges, as they are both qualified ESSE solid fuel service engineers. We would always recommend ESSE appliances as we find them to be reliable and of good-quality. You can find us featured on their website, by clicking the following link: ESSE Online

Chimney pots, Bird Guards / Cowls & Chimney Caps

We supply and fit good quality bird guards and rain caps for chimneys connected to gas fires and solid fuel appliances. We can also supply and fit caps for disused chimneys, and close off disused terminals. We are able to supply and fit chimney pots and we have experience (and insurance!) whilst working at height from ladders, cherry pickers and scaffolding.

Cre-away Tar Removal

Cre-away is a chemical treatment that is applied to the inside of your chimney, to help to remove tar. This is applied, left to set for up to 10 days, and then removed afterwards along with the tar. A chimney sweep may recommend a creaway treatment if you have tar inside your chimney, as this is a fire hazard.

Type 1 Smoke Testing

Type 1 smoke testing involves closing the chimney off at both ends and forcing smoke inside, revealing any leaks within the flue. This requires two chimney sweeps to visit together, and the use of ladders.

CCTV Camera Survey & Report

We are able to carry out CCTV Camera inspections and surveys and can produce a written report to support this. Some insurers require this regularly

General Appliance & Chimney Repairs, Replacement Parts & other chimney-related issues

Replacement parts for stoves and open fires - this can be anything from an ash pan to some stove glass, and we regularly replace fire bricks. We are able to supply and fit replacement parts for almost any appliance where the parts are available.

Other possible chimney-related problems can include damp, downdraughts, smells, smoke in other rooms or within a secondary flue, noise and debris falling down (to name just a few!). If there is anything you may be concerned about, please get in touch and we will be able to advise on a necessary solution for your chimney or appliance problem.
